Explore the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe, from his troubled upbringing to his contributions to the modern short story, detective fiction, and science fiction. Analyze his iconic poems (The Raven, Annabel Lee) and tales (The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher). Taught by Andrew D. Kaplan, a documentary filmmaker and adjunct professor, this course includes clips from his recent documentary, offering a deeper look at Poe’s lasting influence on literature.
